Pastor Barry D.  Mitchell, Sr. is a native of Monroe, Ga.  His loving parents are Mr. Joe and Mrs. Vesteree Mitchell. 
 
God called Pastor Mitchell into the Gospel Ministry in 1989.  He’s a proud member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Social Circle, Ga. under the leadership of Pastor Clinton Sorrells, Sr. 
 
Pastor Mitchell is married to the lovely Sis. Tammy D. Mitchell. They are the loving and devoted parents of six sons and two daughters.
 
Since his move to the Middle Ga. Area, he has become an effective leader in the community.  He is affiliated with the Union Baptist Association of Middle Ga. Inc., Sixth District of the State Convention of Ga., and a member of the Baptist Ministers Union & Vicinity.
 
Pastor Mitchell is a God fearing man, who has a genuine love and concern for people.  His mission in life is to empower people to become all that God wants them to be.  He has faithfully served St. Matthew Baptist Church in Macon, Ga. for the past 14 years.
